CASA CULIACAN 410 Spring 2018

Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mx.

This home, currently under construction, is a very theoretical project from the functionalist perspective.
The structure is clearly the protagonist of all interior and exterior spaces, and It is at the same time, rhythmic and modulated allowing to adapt itself efficiently to the complicated geometry of the lot in which the project takes place.
“The bones” of this house are made of exposed concrete and steel, and they are responsible for defining and limiting the inner spaces.
The contrasting emptiness of some spaces generates a poetic tour around the property, which is constantly looking over the predominant surrounding garden.
Although the project has glass in almost 70% of its exterior facades, it manages to keep the privacy to the interiors untouched.
